Learn how Webflow AI credits work, what's included with your plan, and how to get more.

Webflow AI credits give every Workspace sustainable access to certain Webflow AI features. Your plan includes a set number of credits at no extra cost, and they're shared across your entire team. You can track how you're using them in the AI usage dashboard, and purchase AI credit add-ons if you need more.

How AI credits work

AI credits are allotted to your Workspace based on your plan type. Workspace members with a full or limited seat can use features that consume AI credits, subject to any role requirements for that feature. Credits are pooled at the Workspace level and can be used across any site in your Workspace, including Starter sites.

For self-serve Workspace plans, credits reset monthly. For Team and Enterprise plans, credits reset yearly. Unused credits expire at the end of each period and don't roll over.

Running out of credits doesn't trigger an automatic plan upgrade or unexpected charges. If you exceed your allotment, you can purchase an add-on credit pack to continue using AI features that require credits.

Self-serve Workspace plans include a set number of AI credits per month at no additional cost.

The Team plan include a set number of AI credits per year at no additional cost.

A custom AI credit amount is associated with Enterprise plans. You can contact Support to learn your exact AI credit allocation and talk about your website goals. 

AI credit add-ons available for additional credits

Starter, Core, Growth, Freelancer, and Agency Workspace plans can purchase AI credit add-ons to increase their monthly credit allotment. Each AI credit add-on includes 2,000 additional credits, and credits reset monthly. You can add up to 15 AI credit add-ons per Workspace.

Which Webflow AI features use AI credits

The table below shows which features are and aren't part of the credit system.

Credit usage is dynamic — there's no fixed rate per action, and Webflow doesn't publish a rate card. More complex AI tasks consume more credits than simpler ones, and usage rates may be adjusted over time as the underlying cost of AI evolves.

Track your usage

You can monitor your Workspace's AI credit usage in the usage dashboard. Usage is broken down by feature so you can see exactly where credits are going.

To view your usage:

1. Open your Workspace
2. Go to Workspace settings > Usage

What happens when you run out of credits

When your Workspace uses all of its included credits, you'll see an in-product message letting you know. AI features that consume credits will stop working until your balance resets or you purchase an AI credit add-on.

Webflow won't automatically upgrade your plan or charge you for overages. You're always in control of when and whether to add more credits.

Do credits roll over?

Can I use credits on any site in my Workspace?

Yes. Credits are pooled at the Workspace level and apply across all sites in your Workspace, including Starter sites.

Do credits stack across multiple Workspaces?

No. Credits are tied to a specific Workspace. If you're a member of multiple Workspaces, each has its own separate credit balance that doesn't combine with the others.

Do Optimize and Localize AI features use credits?

No. Webflow Optimize and Webflow Localize have their own pricing. The AI features within those products don't consume Webflow AI credits.

Will credit costs change over time?

Credit usage rates and which features may require credits may be adjusted as the underlying cost of AI evolves. Webflow is multi-model by design. We partner with leading AI vendors — including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google — that meet our rigorous standards for security, compliance, and capability. We get early access to new models, test extensively, and select the best fit for each feature before any changes reach customers.

Webflow will provide advance notice of any significant changes through the Webflow pricing page, in-product messages, and Help Center articles.

How do credits work if I'm building as a guest in a client's Workspace?

If you're working on a site as a Freelancer or Agency guest, any AI credits you consume in a client's Workspace are taken out of your own Workspace's AI credit allotment, not the client's. This means the entity using the credits is also the entity responsible for them.

You're welcome to pass those costs along to your client through your own billing arrangements outside of Webflow. In your usage dashboard, you can track credit usage by site so you can see how much of your AI consumption came from each client.

How do credits work if I'm a client in a freelancer or agency's Workspace?

If you've been added to a freelancer or agency's Workspace via client seats, you're not currently eligible to consume AI credits.

If you want to use AI credits on your site, ask your freelancer or agency to transfer the site to your own Workspace. From there, you can fully manage it, including consuming AI credits. You can then invite your freelancer or agency as a guest to continue collaborating.
