Learn how to connect ChatGPT to your Webflow sites and Workspaces.
You can connect ChatGPT to Webflow via the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and use it to manage, update, and create site content using natural-language prompts. For example, ask ChatGPT to update your Blog Collection — ChatGPT can generate content, create new Collection items, and publish them to your live site. You can also draft and publish landing page copy, or analyze site performance with the Analyze add-on.
Before you get started
Users with any site role except Reviewer can connect to the Webflow
MCP server. The MCP server respects each user’s existing role permissions.
Set up the Webflow plugin in ChatGPT
To connect ChatGPT to your sites and Workspaces using the Webflow ChatGPT plugin:
- Open ChatGPT
- Click Plugins in the sidebar
- Search for Webflow
- Click the Webflow plugin
- Click Install plugin
- Click Sign in with Webflow
- Authorize access and click Continue
- Choose the sites and/or Workspaces you want to give ChatGPT access to
- Click Authorize App
Note
By default, ChatGPT will ask you to approve any actions it wants
to take in Webflow. You can manage connected apps in
ChatGPT > Settings >
Connected apps.
Use built-in skills for common workflows
ChatGPT includes built-in skills for common Webflow workflows. A skill packages the right steps and best practices for a task, so instead of figuring out the right prompt or sequence of actions, you describe what you want to accomplish and ChatGPT selects the right skill for you. Examples of skills include:

Because skills use the context of your actual Webflow site, ChatGPT can work with your real Collections, pages, and site structure, not just what you include in a prompt. Using skills doesn't require AI credits.
