Learn how to quickly generate and edit static or dynamic content using Webflow AI.
Important
Generating copy and Collection items with Webflow AI is currently in public beta. Use during the beta is subject to our Beta Program Terms.
You can use Webflow AI to generate and refine contextually relevant copy for static and dynamic text elements on the canvas and generate Collection items. This saves time and reduces reliance on placeholder content like lorem ipsum text. Webflow AI is available in design mode and edit mode.

Good to know
If you’re unhappy with all of the generated versions, you can generate three new versions by clicking the “Edit prompt” icon to refine your prompt. You can also share your feedback by clicking the “Share feedback” icon.
Generate sample Collection items in bulk
When a Collection is empty, you can quickly populate it by generating sample items in bulk with Webflow AI. You can choose to create 5, 10, or 20 sample items and provide an optional prompt to guide the content, then click Generate. Webflow AI will generate contextually relevant items based on your input so you can start designing right away.
Create a sample Collection item from the canvas
You can use Webflow AI to create a sample Collection item directly from the canvas:
Open the Collection page for the Collection to which you’d like to add a sample item
Click the Collection items dropdown
Click Generate new [Collection item] (e.g., Generate new Blog Post)
(Optional) Enter a prompt that describes the sample content you’d like to generate
Click the “generate” icon
Webflow AI will generate a single, draft Collection item. You can then edit and refine the content before publishing.
Note
Webflow AI won’t generate content for some fields (e.g., image, option, reference). Placeholder content will be used for unsupported fields.
