Learn about the deprecation of Webflow’s educators program.
The Webflow for Educators programs is being deprecated. New applications won’t be accepted after February 28, 2026.
Educators who apply the discount to a Workspace Growth Plan by February 28, 2026 will be able to continue to use their Workspace to teach their students. However, if you downgrade or cancel your Workspace plan, we won't be able to reinstate the Educators program.
How to apply before February 28, 2026
Educators from accredited primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, as well as nonprofit educational institutions, are eligible for this offer. The 100% discount can be applied exclusively to the monthly Workspace Growth plan for up to five Workspaces linked to your approved email address. This discount includes up to 250 seats for your students.
- Apply to receive the free Workspace
- Once approved, invite your students to join the Workspace
- Set students' roles and permissions — you can control which students can publish sites or take administrative actions like deleting or transferring sites, among other permissions
- Begin teaching web design to your students!
For any additional questions, feel free to reach out to Webflow Support.
Important
Students automatically become site managers on any site they create in the Workspace. To avoid any unexpected charges, students should be invited to the Workspace as members. Then, for any site created by a student, we recommend you set their role to designer.
FAQs
Why is the educator discount program being deprecated?
We’re evolving how we support all creators using Webflow. As part of that, we’ve decided to deprecate the Webflow for Educators program to focus our efforts on improving the core Webflow platform and resources that serve the entire community. We’re creating more ways to connect, learn, and level up. Learn more about the new era of the Webflow Community.
What happens to my existing projects or sites?
If you’re using Educator Workspaces, your sites will remain accessible as long as you have an active card on file. If you downgrade your Workspace plan, most of your sites may become locked due to the limits of the Core or Starter Workspace plans.
You can switch to an annual plan for a lower rate or remove seats to reduce your costs. However, if you downgrade your Workspace plan, some of your sites may become locked due to the limits of the Core or Starter Workspace plans.
You can also ask your students to transfer their sites from the Educator Workspace to their personal Workspace before downgrading.
Are there other ways to use Webflow for free?
Yes. Webflow offers a free Starter Workspace and free site plans that let anyone design and build sites at no cost. Starter plans do include limits, however. Visit the pricing page to compare features.
Will Webflow launch a new student or education program in the future?
We don’t have plans to introduce a new program at this time. Our current focus is on improving the overall Webflow experience — including performance, educational resources, and product innovation — for all users.
How can I keep learning Webflow without the student program?
You can continue learning through Webflow University — our free educational platform with tutorials, courses, and lessons that help you master Webflow at your own pace. Check out The Webflow Way, a collection of best practices validated by experts.
