How to accept a client payments request (as a client)

Updated

Accept billing transfer requests to manage client payments.

When a freelancer or agency sends a client payments request, you can quickly take over billing for your Webflow site. This lets you manage charges directly — including Site plan costs, add-ons, and invoices.

Before you accept a payments request

Make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Email access — you can access the email where the request was sent
  • Matching Webflow account — you have a Webflow account that uses the same email address

How to accept a client payments request

  1. Open the email from Webflow about your client payments request
  2. Click Accept request in the email
  3. Log into your Webflow account — or create one using the same email
  4. Follow the prompts to enter your billing information
  5. Click Add payment method
  6. Choose your billing frequency (monthly or annual)
  7. Click Pay now to complete the checkout

Once you accept the request, billing transfers to you — including Site plan charges, bandwidth, and any add-ons like Analyze, Optimize, or Localization.

Manage payments after checkout

After taking over billing, you’ll see a Payments tab in your Dashboard. From there, you can:

  • View paid, unpaid, declined, or upcoming invoices
  • Monitor charges for your Site plan and add-ons
  • Update, cancel, or change your Site plan

Note

You can update your billing info or switch between monthly and annual billing anytime.
