Webflow AI is the collective name for Webflow's AI-powered features. It brings together tools that help you design and build production-grade websites and web apps — no design or technical experience required.
Some Webflow AI features work in context — for example, quickly create professional, responsive websites with Webflow's AI site builder or generate contextually relevant copy for things like a meta title, description for SEO, or your latest blog post. Others use the Webflow AI Assistant, a powerful conversational experience that can help you learn Webflow as you work and perform actions like designing and generating new sections. With the Webflow AI Assistant, you can even generate and deploy full-stack web apps using nothing but simple natural language prompts.
Manage Webflow AI for your Workspace
Webflow AI is enabled by default for most Workspaces. Workspace Admins and Owners can turn it on or off at any time:
- Open the Workspace you want to update
- Go to Workspace settings > General
- Toggle Enable Webflow AI on or off

Using the AI Assistant to modify page designs
The AI Assistant helps automate repetitive tasks and streamline your workflow by generating page sections tailored to your needs. The Assistant matches new sections to your site's existing styles and content.
Note
While in beta, modifying page designs using the AI Assistant is limited to a small number of free templates and sites created with Webflow's AI site builder.

Webflow AI helps you quickly generate and refine contextually relevant copy for your site without leaving Webflow — no need for lorem ipsum. You can generate or edit content inside text elements, refine specific parts of your copy, and use quick modifications to make changes faster.

Generate CMS Collection items with Webflow AI
You can use Webflow AI to generate sample CMS Collection items — either individually from the canvas or in bulk from within an empty Collection. This helps you populate your Collections with contextually relevant content so you can start designing right away.
Note
Generating Collection items with Webflow AI requires a Site plan that includes CMS access. It isn't available on Basic Site plans, as they don't include a CMS.

There are two ways to improve accessibility, SEO, and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) with Webflow AI. The Audit panel runs on-demand checks across your site and helps you generate optimized content. Webflow AEO builds on this with automated, scheduled scans, AI visibility measurement, and prioritized recommendations in a centralized dashboard.
Audit and improve SEO and AEO with Webflow AI
Use the Audit panel to uncover missing content like image alt text, meta titles, meta descriptions, and schema markup — then generate optimized content automatically with Webflow AI. You can run audits on individual pages or sitewide.

Available on Team or Enterprise Platform plans, Webflow AEO measures and improves AI search visibility at scale. AEO analytics tracks how AI tools represent your brand, which LLM bots visit your site, and how AI-referred visitors engage with your content. AEO agents automatically scan your site on a recurring schedule, surfacing prioritized recommendations in a centralized dashboard for you to review and apply.

With the Webflow AI Assistant, you can also generate, refine, and deploy full-stack web apps — all within Webflow. You can connect your apps to your site's CMS content and variables, customize layouts and styles, and deploy them to your custom domain via Webflow Cloud.
Important
Webflow has paused further development of App Gen and will begin the process of deprecating it. Existing apps continue to run on Webflow Cloud, and App Gen remains free to use during this period.
