Use Webflow AEO to measure how AI tools represent your brand and improve how they discover and cite your site.

Webflow AEO is Webflow's native answer engine optimization solution. Answer engine optimization is the practice of helping AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini find, understand, and cite your content — much like search engine optimization (SEO) does for traditional search engines. Webflow AEO combines analytics and AI agents that recommend and act — so you can see how your brand is showing up in AI search, apply brand-specific improvements at scale, and track how your AI visibility improves over time.

Webflow AEO is made up of two parts. AEO analytics measures how your organization shows up in AI answers and how AI bots use your site. AEO agents scan your site and recommend prioritized improvements you can review, edit, and apply.

Before you get started

Webflow AEO requires a Team or Enterprise Platform plan with the Workspace AI toggle enabled. AEO analytics also requires the Analyze add-on. Learn more about enabling or disabling Webflow AI.

How Webflow AEO works

Webflow AEO connects three steps in a continuous loop:

  • Measure — AEO analytics tracks how often your organization is mentioned in AI-generated answers, which AI bots visit your site, and how visitors referred from AI tools engage with your content

  • Recommend — AEO agents scan your site and surface prioritized technical recommendations for metadata, schema, alt text, and broken links

  • Act — review and apply recommendations directly from the dashboard. Changes are written to the relevant Webflow surface and go live when you next publish your site.

The loop continues as future scans reflect the improvements you've applied, and AEO analytics shows how AI tools represent your organization over time.

AEO analytics

AEO analytics is the measurement side of Webflow AEO. It brings together three perspectives on AI discovery — Prompt insights, LLM bot insights, and AI-referred visitor analytics — inside Webflow Analyze, so you can see how AI tools represent your organization and how AI discovery connects to activity on your site. AEO agents

AEO agents scan your site and surface prioritized recommendations to help AI tools find, understand, and cite your content — then apply your accepted changes to page settings, CMS items, and assets. Nothing changes on your site until you review and accept a recommendation. Learn more about AEO agents.

Where to find Webflow AEO

Webflow AEO appears under Insights in the top bar of your site:

  • The AI discovery tab — available on both the Site overview and Pages views — brings together AEO analytics cards across all three perspectives

  • The Prompts page under Analyze shows per-topic and per-prompt detail for Prompt insights

  • The Visitor behavior view under Analyze includes the Generative AI traffic source filter for AI-referred visitor sessions

  • The Recommendations dashboard surfaces AEO agents recommendations grouped into Quick wins and More recommendations

To configure which agents are active, go to Insights > Settings > AEO and SEO. To set up the organization info Prompt insights uses, go to Insights > Settings > Organization info.

AI credits

AEO analytics doesn't consume Webflow AI credits. Prompt evaluation, LLM bot insights, and AI-referred visitor analytics are included with eligible Enterprise Analyze access.

AEO agents consume Webflow AI credits whenever they run.
