Use AEO analytics to measure how your brand shows up in AI answers, how LLM bots are using your site, and how AI-referred visitors engage with your content.
AEO analytics is the measurement layer of Webflow AEO. It brings together visibility, citation, LLM bot, and AI-referred visitor data inside Webflow Analyze, so you can understand how AI tools represent your organization and how AI discovery connects to activity on your site.
How AEO analytics works
AEO analytics combines three perspectives on AI discovery. Together, they tell you what AI says about you, which pages AI tools are reading, and what AI-referred visitors do once they arrive.
Prompt insights
Prompt insights runs prompts you configure through ChatGPT and measures your organization's presence in the responses. Support for additional large language models (LLMs) is coming soon. For each response, Webflow checks whether your organization name (or aliases you've added) was mentioned, and which domains the response cited — both your own (Owned) and others (Non-owned).
Two scores summarize the results:
-
Visibility score — how often your organization is mentioned in responses to your tracked prompts
-
Citation rate — how often one of your domains is cited in responses that include citations
Good to know
Prompt volume limits are set during your AEO analytics contract and can vary between organizations. Check with your account team for details about your specific limits.

LLM bot insights
LLM bot insights tracks LLM bots — the crawlers behind tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — as they visit your site. Many AI crawlers don't behave like human visitors or run client-side tracking scripts, so they're traditionally filtered out of visitor analytics. LLM bot insights uses server log data to surface this activity.
Bots are grouped into four categories to help you understand the type of activity they're associated with:
-
Agentic bots — request live content from your site to support AI-assisted experiences, such as answering a user's question
-
Indexing bots — crawl pages to discover, map, or refresh content that AI tools may use for retrieval
-
Training bots — collect or review web content for AI model development and related data pipelines
-
Bots with multiple purposes — bots associated with more than one type of activity, or that can't be confidently attributed to a single purpose

AI-referred visitor analytics
AEO analytics also shows how AI-referred visitors engage with your site. The Human visitors by source card on the AI discovery tab shows AI-referred, organic, and direct visitor counts side by side — so you can see traffic that has been, or may have been, influenced by your AI visibility. Webflow Analyze's Visitor behavior view also includes a new Generative AI traffic source filter so you can isolate sessions that started in an AI tool.
This data uses Webflow Analyze's existing visitor tracking, so make sure visitor tracking is enabled and your site is published for this view to populate. Learn more about setting up Analyze tracking.
Where to find AEO analytics
AEO analytics data appears in four places, all accessed by clicking Insights in the top bar of your site in Webflow:
- The AI discovery tab on the Site overview page brings together cards from all three perspectives — visibility score, top topics, citations, human visitors by source, and AI bots
- The Prompts page under Analyze shows per-topic and per-prompt detail for Prompt insights
- The Visitor behavior view under Analyze includes the Generative AI traffic source filter for AI-referred visitor sessions
- The Pages view under Analyze includes an AI discovery tab that brings citations, human visitors by source, and bot traffic to individual pages
Set up your Organization info
Prompt insights uses your Organization info to identify mentions of your organization and citations of your domains in AI responses. You set this up at Insights > Settings > Organization info.

AEO analytics and AEO agents
AEO analytics is the measurement side of Webflow AEO. AEO agents are the recommend and apply side — they scan your site, surface prioritized recommendations, and help you apply changes that can improve how AI tools discover and cite your content.
Use AEO analytics to measure AI visibility, citations, bot activity, and AI-referred visitor behavior. Use AEO agents to review, edit, and apply recommended improvements. Learn more about AEO agents.
AI credits
AEO analytics doesn't consume Webflow AI credits. Prompt evaluation, LLM bot insights, and AI-referred visitor analytics are included with the Enterprise Analyze add-on. AEO agents consume Webflow AI credits whenever they run. Learn more about Webflow AI credits.
