Troubleshoot login and signup issues and regain access to your Webflow account.
You may be having trouble creating or logging in to your Webflow account for several reasons, like a forgotten password or email, a two-factor authentication (2FA) issue, or a signup error. For many issues, you can use the Account Recovery Helper, and the chatbot will guide you through the next steps. Below, you'll find common issues and how to resolve them.
Unable to sign up
If you're having trouble creating a Webflow account (e.g., you receive an error during signup or can't complete the registration process), you can begin the Account Recovery Helper and choose I can't create a new Webflow account from the dropdown. If you're already working through the Helper, the chatbot will walk you through what's next.
Reset your password
If you forget your Webflow password, you can reset it by going to the forgot password page and entering your Webflow account email address. You'll receive instructions on how to reset your password via email.
I tried resetting my password, but I can't access my email
Webflow uses your primary email to authenticate account ownership. If you can't access the email associated with your Webflow account, you'll need to work with your email provider to recover it. Learn what to do if you can't access the email associated with your Webflow account.
I forgot which email I used for my Webflow account
If you can't remember which email address you used for your Webflow account:
- Check your inboxes for emails from Webflow, including your spam and junk folders
- If you have multiple email addresses, try logging in with each one. If you're unsure of the password too, try resetting your password using each of your email addresses.
- If you still can't determine your Webflow account email, begin the Account Recovery Helper, or, if you're already working through the Helper, the chatbot will walk you through what's next
My email and password are correct, but I still can't log in
If you're confident that your email address and password are correct, but you still receive an error when trying to log in to Webflow, the Account Recovery Helper can help. Begin the Helper, or, if you're already working through it, the chatbot will walk you through what's next.
Resolve two-factor authentication (2FA) issues
If you've enabled 2FA on your Webflow account and can't generate a code or access your authentication app:
- Use a backup code. Webflow issues eight one-time backup codes that you're asked to save when you enable 2FA. You can use one of these backup codes to log in if you can't generate a code using your authentication app.
- If you added a secondary email to your account and you're still logged in, you can disable 2FA to regain access to your account
- If you can't use a backup code or disable 2FA via email, begin the Account Recovery Helper and choose I lost access to my 2FA device from the dropdown. If you're already working through the Helper, the chatbot will walk you through what's next.
