Learn how to switch to a different site role and access your site with those permissions.
As a site owner or designer, you can view the site as either the content editor site role or marketer site role, which will simulate those permissions for your account. This will allow you to see what members with those permissions can work on in Webflow.
How to simulate the content editor or marketer role
To view the site as another role:
- Click the Webflow logo above the Pages panel
- Click View as a Content Editor or View as a Marketer
The Webflow interface will refresh to reflect that role’s permissions.
How to switch back to the designer role
To exit the simulated site role:
- Click the Webflow logo above the Pages panel
- Click Back to assigned role
