Use the Share button to invite new site collaborators or generate a sandbox site link.
While your site is open in Webflow, click Share in the top bar to invite new members or get a sandbox site link.
- Invite new members — add members to collaborate with you on your site. Their Workspace role defines what they can do
- Sandbox link — anyone with the link can view the site in Webflow and make temporary changes that won't be saved
- Comment-only link — you can also provide share links so stakeholders can submit site draft feedback without needing to create an account. Workspace members have access to share links while anyone (including those not in the Workspace) have access to comment-only links
Inviting Workspace members
You can invite new Workspace members from either the Workspace settings or the Share button. Workspace members fill Workspace seats. The Reviewer role is a free seat for viewing a site and leaving comments. Other Workspace roles (e.g., Designer) require a paid seat and can only be invited by Workspace Owners or Admins.
How to limit who can invite Reviewers
By default, any Workspace member (excluding Clients and Guests) can invite new Reviewers. Workspace Owners and Admins can toggle the following setting off to prevent other Workspace roles from inviting Reviewers.
To limit Reviewer invites:
- Go to Workspace settings > General > Sharing permissions
- Toggle Reviewer invites to Off
This setting affects every open site in your Workspace (i.e., sites that can be accessed by all Workspace members). Growth, Enterprise, Freelancer, and Agency Workspace plans can limit which sites members can access using site-specific access.
How to invite new members with the Share button
Note
You can only purchase seats during the invite flow if your plan allows purchasing seats independent of a plan change, you have a valid payment method on file, and you don’t have any delinquent payments. Learn more about managing seats from the dashboard.
To quickly invite a new Workspace member while working in Webflow:
- Click the Share button in the top bar
- Enter your teammate’s email address
- Choose a Workspace role from the dropdown (e.g., Reviewer)
- Review the purchase price and info, if purchasing a seat
- Click Invite or Pay & invite if you're purchasing a new seat
Once your teammate receives an invite, they'll be asked to sign in or create a Webflow account. Then, the site you invited them to opens. This site's Workspace is their new default Workspace.
Sharing a sandbox link
Important
A sandbox link allows anyone with the link to view your site in Webflow, but changes they make won’t be saved.
How to get a sandbox link to your site
If you’re a member or admin in your Workspace and you’d like to share your site on the Webflow forum or with a colleague, you can protect your work by sharing a sandbox link:
- Click the Share button in the top bar
- Click Sandbox link
- Turn the toggle “on” to generate a unique link
- Click the Copy link icon and share it wherever you'd like
