Archive a site

Learn how to remove unwanted sites from your Dashboard.

We’re transitioning to a new UI, and are in the process of updating our Webflow University content.
Note: Only Workspace owners or site admins can archive sites. All Workspace members are site admins by default on the Core and Freelancer Workspace plans. Site level roles and permissions (including the ability to limit site archiving) are unlocked on Growth, Agency, and Enterprise Workspace plans. Learn more about Workspace roles and permissions.

You can archive a site if you no longer want it in your Dashboard. When you archive a site, the site is unpublished and removed from your Dashboard and the site’s subdomain is reserved. Before archiving a site, you’ll need to cancel the site’s active Site plan or transfer it to another site in your Workspace (if applicable). We do not offer credits for canceled Site plans.

Note: Archived sites do not count against your unhosted site limit according to your Workspace plan

You can archive your site from your Dashboard or Site settings.

Important: You cannot archive a site with an active Site plan. If your site has an active Site plan, you’ll need to downgrade to a Starter Site plan (i.e., cancel the paid Site plan) or transfer the Site plan to another site in your Workspace before archiving. We do not offer credits for canceled Site plans. Additionally, the subdomain name of an archived site remains reserved. If you want to use the subdomain of the archived site for a different site in the future, change the subdomain name before archiving.

  1. Go to your Dashboard
