Set up Organization info to give Webflow AEO the brand context it needs to track your visibility and generate accurate schema markup.
Organization info is where you tell Webflow about your brand. AEO analytics uses your organization name and aliases to detect mentions of your organization in AI-generated answers. AEO agents use your Organization info to generate accurate schema markup and on-brand content recommendations for your pages.
The more context you provide, the better Webflow AEO can represent your organization to AI tools.
How Organization info is used
Organization info has six sections — Basic, Competitors, About, Contact info, Locations, and People. Most fields are optional, but adding more context produces better results.
Different sections power different parts of Webflow AEO:
AEO analytics — uses your organization name and aliases to detect mentions of your organization in AI-generated answers
AEO agents — use your organization profile as factual context when generating schema.org markup and content recommendations
Access Organization info
To set up your Organization info, open your site in Webflow, then:
Click Insights in the top bar
Go to Organization info under Settings
Expand or collapse each section by clicking its header.
Set up the Basic section
The Basic section sets your organization's primary identity. AEO analytics uses these fields to detect when your organization is mentioned in AI-generated answers.
Organization name — the public-facing name of your organization
Also known as — other names your brand goes by, like abbreviations, legal entity names, or product line names
Webflow tracks mentions using substring matching, so tracking "Apple" also catches "Apple Watch" or "Apple Inc." For variations that don't share a common substring — abbreviations, legal names, or product lines with different naming — add them under Also known as.
Good to know
Webflow counts every domain in your Allowed domains
list (Insights > Settings > Tracking)
as one of your owned domains when tracking citations. Make
sure every domain you want counted as yours is listed there.
Set up the Competitors section
Add competitors to give Webflow AEO context about other organizations in your space.
For each competitor, add:
Name — the competitor brand name
Also known as — other names this competitor goes by
Domains — web domains owned by this competitor (e.g., competitor.com)
To add more competitors, click + Add competitor.
Set up the About section
The About section provides the core facts AEO agents use to generate schema.org Organization markup. This is the markup search engines and AI tools use to build rich results, knowledge panels, and other structured representations of your brand.
Organization type — the type of entity your organization is (for example, Corporation, Nonprofit, Educational Organization)
Industry — the industry your organization operates in
Founded — the date your organization was established
Description — a brief description of what your organization does and who it serves
Set up the Contact info section
Contact info appears in schema markup and enables click-to-call and email actions in AI answers and rich results.
Set up the Locations section
Locations power local business listings and Google Maps results, and are used in schema markup for local search and knowledge panels.
For each location, add:
Name — a label for this location (for example, "London office")
Use as headquarters address — check this box to mark a location as your primary address
Street, City, State, Postal code, Country — the full address
To add more locations, click + Add location.
Set up the People section
People entries associate key team members with your organization in schema markup, creating sameAs links between your organization and the people who represent it.
For each person, add:
To add more people, click + Add person.
