How to change your email address(es) for your Webflow account

You can change the email associated with your Webflow account in your profile settings. Email notifications will be sent to this updated email address. Note that you can’t use an email address associated with another Webflow account.

Important

Make sure both emails (your previous and new email address accounts) are active and that you can access them to verify the change.

How to change/update your email address (if you don’t use Google SSO)

First, make sure you’re logged in to your account. To update the email address associated with your Webflow account:

  1. Click the Account dropdown menu in the navbar
  2. Open Account settings > Email settings > Update email address
  3. Type in your new email address
  4. Type in your current password
  5. Type in your two-factor authentication code (if it’s enabled)
  6. Click Save changes 

Once you save the changes, you’ll receive a verification email to both your original email address and your updated email address to confirm the update.

How to change/update your email address (if you use Google SSO)

First, make sure you’re logged into Google with the same email address you use for Webflow. Then: 

  1. Click the Account dropdown menu in the navbar
  2. Go to Account settings > Email settings > Update email address
  3. Click the email account that matches your current Webflow account in the Authenticate with Google section (rather than the email you’re updating to)
  4. Log in with Google
  5. Click Save changes

Once you save the changes, you’ll receive a verification email to both your original email address and your updated email address to confirm the update.

Important

You must authenticate with your current Webflow account email to update your email address.

Changing/updating email address troubleshooting steps

If you're having trouble updating your email address, please follow these steps:

  • Double check the email is not already in use with a Webflow account
  • Double check both the original and current emails are active and able to receive emails
  • If you receive an error when attempting to change the email, ensure you are using your current password when attempting to change the email

How to move an email address from one Webflow account to another

If you want to move one of your email addresses (e.g., myemail@mail.com) from Account A to Account B:

  1. Update and replace the email address for Account A (e.g., myemail@mail.com changes to myotheremail@mail.com)
  2. Verify the email change through the verification email you'll receive once you request the update. If you have a secondary email address, you'll need to verify with your secondary email address as well
  3. Update the email address for Account B with the original email address from Account A (e.g., myemail@mail.com)
