Conversion tracking with the Google Tag (gtag)
After you successfully install Google Ads for Webflow and launch a Performance Max campaign, the Google Tag (gtag) is automatically added to your Webflow site to support conversion tracking.
Specifically, Google Ads for Webflow:
- Automatically connects your website forms or page views to Google Ads so every lead or page visit is recorded without you ever having to touch a line of code
- Supports enhanced conversions when they’re enabled in your Google Ads account which significantly improves the accuracy of your campaign measurement
- Captures deeper performance data by optionally tracking additional lead-generation signals giving Google AI more high-quality information to optimize your results.
Note
For reliable conversion tracking, ensure your site includes a clear confirmation (e.g. a “Thank you” page) or event that signals a completed conversion.
For more information about the Google Tag, review Google’s help documentation.
