Add a reusable goal to an optimization

Learn how to add a goal you created in the Goals page to an Optimize optimization.

Goals you create from Insights tab > Goals are shared between Analyze and Optimize, which means you can treat them as reusable building blocks for measuring success. Adding an existing goal to an optimization lets you compare performance across experiments, keep your metrics consistent, and spend less time recreating the same setup.

How to add a Goals page goal to an optimization

While editing an optimization:

1. Click the Optimizations dropdown in the top bar
2. Click Settings & goals > Add icon > Choose existing goal
3. Choose a goal
4. Optional: Set this goal as the target goal to optimize for this goal
