Learn how to add a goal you created in the Goals page to an Optimize optimization.
Goals you create on the Goals page (Insights tab > Goals) are available for use in all optimizations. If you set a goal as a site goal, it's automatically available in every optimization. For any other goal, you can add it manually, which lets you compare performance across experiments, keep your metrics consistent, and spend less time recreating the same setup.
How to add a Goals page goal to an optimization
While editing an optimization:
- Click the Optimizations dropdown in the top bar
- Click Settings & goals > Add icon > Choose existing goal
- Choose a goal
- (Optional) Set this goal as the target goal to optimize for this goal
Good to know
You have to publish your site once to activate the goal after it's created on the Goals page.
