Webflow Refund Policy

Updated

Learn what’s refundable, what’s not, and how to prevent unintended charges.

Policy last updated: April 2025

Understand our refund policy and when exceptions apply

Webflow generally doesn’t offer refunds for purchases—including plan subscriptions, add-ons, seats, Marketplace purchases, or sales tax. However, some exceptions apply based on legal requirements or specific billing scenarios.;

Review Section 8 of our Terms of Service for more details.

Legal exceptions

If you’re an individual (not a business) in the E.U., EEA, U.K., or Turkey, you have the legal right to cancel your subscription and request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. This cooling-off period doesn’t apply if:

  • You’re purchasing for business or professional use
  • You’ve downloaded or installed a Marketplace media (this action waives the right to a refund)

Prorated plan changes

When you change your plan mid-subscription — like upgrading, changing your billing cycle, or switching to a lower-tier paid plan — Webflow automatically applies prorated charges or credits based on the remaining days in your billing cycle. You’ll notice these adjustments at checkout.

Prevent unexpected charges — what to review before you buy

Before making a purchase, carefully review your active subscriptions and plan details. The following guidelines help you avoid unintended charges.

Plans (Workspace and Site plans)

  • No free trials: Webflow doesn’t offer free trials for plans—all purchases are final
  • Auto-renewal: Plans auto-renew based on your selected billing cycle (monthly or yearly). If you wish to cancel before renewal, set a reminder and cancel before the next billing date.
  • Plan changes and cancelations: You may upgrade, downgrade, or switch billing cycles at any time. Prorated credits or charges will be applied accordingly. However, downgrading to a free Starter plan does not result in any refunds for unused time.
  • Bandwidth overages and auto-upgrades: If your site exceeds its bandwidth limit, Webflow will provide complimentary surge protection for the current billing month and notify you to reduce your site’s bandwidth usage. If usage isn’t reduced and exceeds its bandwidth limit for a second consecutive billing month, it will be automatically upgraded to the appropriate Site plan or add-on with a higher bandwidth limit. Refunds are not provided for auto-upgrades due to bandwidth usage.

Add-ons and seats

  • No free trials: Webflow doesn’t offer free trials for add-ons—all purchases are final
  • No refunds for unused services: When purchasing an add-on or seat, you are making an intentional commitment. We do not provide refunds for unused or unneeded services.
  • Prorated adjustments: You can remove, downgrade, or upgrade an add-on at any time. Prorated credits or charges will apply.

Taxes

Marketplace purchases

Marketplace purchases are final and non-refundable. To ensure you make an informed decision, we recommend the following:

  • Templates: Before purchasing, use the “Preview in Browser” and “Preview in Webflow” options to thoroughly evaluate the template.
  • Libraries: Use the “Open demo site” option to explore Library features before purchasing. If you have further questions, contact the creator via their support site.
  • Apps: Before purchasing, reach out to the creator using the support option for any inquiries. Refund policies vary by creator, so please review the app’s terms page for details.
