Connect Google site tools to your Webflow site

Use the Google site tools for Webflow App to connect Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console to your Webflow site and view analytics data in the Designer.

You can use Google services to gain valuable insights into the behavior of your site visitors. With the Google site tools for Webflow App, you can connect Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, and Search Console to your site and view metrics like site traffic and most-visited pages from inside the Webflow Designer.

How to install and use the Google site tools for Webflow App

Note: The following installation steps assume you’ve already set up Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and/or Search Console. If you haven’t yet done so, you’ll have the option to set up Search Console, create a Tag Manager account, and/or set up Google Analytics as you install the App. You can also choose to skip any Google services you don’t want to add to your site.

To install the Google site tools for Webflow App:

  1. Go to the Google site tools for Webflow App page
  2. Click Add to site
  3. Choose the site(s) to which you want to add the Google Analytics integration
  4. Sign into your Google account to authenticate
  5. Click Start
  6. Confirm your domains for Search Console
  7. Click Next
  8. Choose your Tag Manager Account and Container
  9. Click Next
  10. Choose your Google Analytics Account and Property
  11. Click Add to site
  12. Click Back to Webflow to return to your Workspace
  13. Publish your site to complete the App setup

Once you’ve connected Google services to your Webflow site, you can view site metrics in the Designer by going to the Apps panel and launching Google site tools for Webflow. To open a more detailed analytics view in Google, click Open Google Analytics.

Important

Any member of your Workspace with Designer access can view the metrics in the Google site tools for Webflow App.

How to remove the Google Analytics integration from Site settings

If you’ve previously connected the Google Analytics integration in your Site settings, you’ll need to remove the integration after connecting the Google site tools for Webflow App to avoid inflating site load times.

To remove the Google Analytics integration:

  1. Go to your Site settings > Apps & Integrations > Google Analytics
  2. Delete your Measurement ID
  3. Click Save
  4. Publish your site

How to disconnect Google services and uninstall the Google site tools for Webflow App

To disconnect Google services from your Webflow site:

  1. Go to the Apps panel
  2. Launch Google site tools for Webflow
  3. Click the settings “cog” icon in the on-canvas App window
  4. Click Disconnect next to each Google service you’d like to disconnect

If you’d like to connect Google services to a different account, container, or property, you can do so after clicking Disconnect, or by clicking Edit next to each Google service you’d like to update.

To uninstall the Google Site Tools App from your site:

  1. Go to Site settings > Apps & Integrations > Connected Apps
  2. Find Google site tools for Webflow
  3. Click View details
  4. Click Uninstall App
