Find out how enhanced match identifies company details and how to use those details in Optimize.
Note
The company details (enhanced match) Optimize feature is included with Enterprise plans.
Enhanced match leverages reverse IP lookup to automatically identify company details associated with website visitors that you can leverage as reporting filters or as audiences you can target. The company details attributes include: company name, domain, estimated revenue, industry + sub-industry, and number of employees.
Available company detail categories
If a visitor matches with company details, five categories of attributes can be associated with the visitor.

Not all visitors can be matched with company details
Only matches with a high level of confidence are included in company details. Many factors can prevent a match, such as:
- The visitor's IP address is not associated with a specific company
- The visitor is on a public network (e.g., coffee shop or library) or a VPN
- The visitor’s match has a low confidence score (e.g., multiple matches are found)
How to view company details in reports
Enhanced match powers the account engagement table, letting you quickly see which companies are engaging with your site.
You can also filter by company-specific details in your optimization results:
- Overall results — click the Filters dropdown at the top
- Audience insights table — click the Others tab
How company details can be used as audiences for targeting
An audience is a subset of your visitors who share common traits. You can configure rules-based audiences for visitors who match company details and target them with manual personalization optimizations.
Example end-to-end flow:
- Create an audience for company detail attributes (e.g., industry = healthcare industry workers)
- Launch manual personalization variations for those audiences (e.g., healthcare messaging + images)
- A visitor arrives on a webpage containing these variations
- Before the page loads, Optimize performs a reverse IP lookup to match company details
- If the visitor matches with high confidence, they're eligible for audiences that target company details
- The page loads with relevant variations (e.g., healthcare messaging + images)
