Navigator

Navigator

A navigator, or a navigator window or panel, is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides an overview of a website's structure and layout. It houses a hierarchy display that outlines a web page’s elements and typically appears as a sidebar in web development and design tools.

Navigator panels offer a convenient way to manage various elements at a glance, helping web developers and designers create and maintain websites. They also provide visual feedback on the relationship between pages and elements. A navigator panel displays a tree-like structure of the website’s pages, with expandable sub-menus for each section, allowing users to view which pages link to each other and their hierarchy.

Access the Navigator in the Webflow Designer on the left side panel to view and manage your site's hierarchy tree. Visit Webflow University’s Navigator panel lesson to learn how to manage element hierarchy and positioning.
