Learn how many Collection lists and items you can display on a page, and how to show more.
Webflow limits how many dynamic elements you can display on a single page to keep your site fast. These limits control what visitors see on a page — they don't cap how many items you can store in your Content Management System (CMS), which depends on your Site plan or Platform plan.
Collection list limits
You can add Collection lists to any page on your site, including static pages and Collection pages. Each page can have:
- Up to 40 Collection lists, including nested Collection lists
- Up to ten nested Collection lists (i.e., a Collection list inside another Collection list)
- Up to three levels of nested Collection lists
If you reach a limit, Webflow won't let you add another Collection list and shows an error message.
You can't nest Collection lists inside components.
Collection item display limits
By default, a Collection list displays up to 100 items. This applies to each Collection list on the page, including nested Collection lists. If your Collection has more than 100 items, the list shows 100 unless you use one of the options below.
Show more than 100 items
-
Pagination — splits your items across multiple pages, with up to 100 items per page. Visitors move between pages with Previous and Next buttons. Learn more about paginating Collection lists.
-
Skip — lets you show more than 100 items on a single page without pagination. Duplicate your Collection list, then on the copy, toggle Limit items to on, set Show to 100, and set Skip to 100. The first list shows items 1–100 and the copy shows items 101–200. Each duplicated list counts toward the limit of 40 Collection lists per page. Learn more about limiting Collection lists.
FAQs
Why can't I show more than 100 items in my Collection list?
Collection lists display a maximum of 100 items at a time to improve page load speed and performance. To show more, turn on pagination or use the Skip option.
Do these limits affect how many items I can add to my CMS?
No. These limits only affect how many items appear on a page. The number of Collections and CMS Collection items your site can hold depends on your Site plan or Platform plan. To check what your plan includes, go to the Webflow pricing page, scroll to Compare all site plans, and open the CMS accordion.
Why can't I add more CMS Collection items when I'm under my plan's limit?
If you see an error asking you to upgrade your plan, but your site has fewer CMS Collection items than your plan currently includes, contact Webflow Support.
