Limit the number of items in Collection lists.
By default, a Collection list display 100 items from its associated Collection. You can show fewer than 100 items in a Collection list by setting a display limit — for example, to create a short selection of other blog posts at the end of a blog post page. You can also show more than 100 items by enabling pagination.
How to limit the number of items in a Collection list
To limit the number of items displayed in a Collection list:
- Select the Collection list you want to limit on the canvas
- Go to Element settings > Collection list settings
- Toggle Limit items to on
- Set Show to the number of items you want to display
You can show up to 100 items in a Collection list with pagination disabled. To display all of the items in your Collection list, leave the Show field blank.
Note
To display more than 100 items in a Collection list, enable pagination.
Once you enable a display limit in the Show field, you can also use the Skip field to skip over a number of items in your Collection and set the first item displayed in your list. This can be useful for creating different layouts with multiple Collection lists.
You can also use the Skip field to display more than 100 items on a single page without enabling pagination. To do this, duplicate your Collection list and set the Skip field of the duplicated list to 100. Then, the first Collection list will display items 1 through 100, and the second Collection list will display items 101 through 200. You can repeat these steps if you want to display more than 200 items in your Collection.
